@erinbiba.bsky.social this is what I was talking about that happens with my starter: it's stopped bubbling and now this liquid is on top. It smells a bit like alcohol. I just fed it last night too and there was no activity since I fed it.

@erinbiba.bsky.social I want to say thank you! You and the others who said I was feeding my sourdough too frequently were spot on. It's day #3 of my starter, I've only fed it once, and it's so much better than my previous attempts (and actually already smells yeasty, not rancid).

All sorts of shenanigans will be about, someone will become hospitalized in a psych ward, and many laws will be broken in the process.
