Not really. Do you use a seperate audio interface on your laptop at home - these sort of things... or is the sound card the one built into the laptop and sound comes out the headphone jack on the laptop?

Back in the UK after a nice half term break in Turkey. Not flown much in the last decade and never had a family holiday overseas with the four of us, so was nice to have some quality family time. Lovely food, card games and swimming in the sea. Visited some nice Roman ruins!

Two stills from the mentioned films...
Check them for the strange atmospherics and haunting music.

Share your favourite black and white film

Very proud of these CDs.
It's almost 5 years since the first album came out.
It was great to work with so many writers & cover so many styles of writing and match music up to them;
Francisco Cantú, Naomi Ishiguro, George Monbiot, Ian McMillan, Mark Maslin, Julia Steinberger, Julia Blackburn

I went out into the garden earlier to take photos of my giant sunflowers as I expect they won't last much longer.
Already had a few topple over in strong winds but the ones standing still look fantastically bright and I'll miss them when they're gone.
These are the last days of summer. Enjoy.

Reading 'Time's Echo' by Jeremy Eichler and its stunning!
Having to read it slowly as I want to listen to a lot of the music mentioned in it & wikipedia the many names mentioned.
Loads of references to the Frankfurt school, Sebaldian framing of time, place etc. High recommened from me!

Was up at out at 5am to do some filming of a sunrise for a future project. Quote the stunning sunrise today! And I'll be back out tonight to get the full moon rise at 9pm

Yeah similar quality - see pic! I'm sure they also had other computer printed tickets for a few years as well. My memory is that that shops in town kept using these green/yellow ones but the Riverside box office went electronic at some point.
Did you go to any of the club nights?

I have an ultra rare 1 hour version of Frtiz Lang's film Metropolis - originally a 5 reel edit with English (US) text. I have a cleaned up digital version to which I'm currently creating a new electronic score. The results will hopefully be released on DVD by the end of the year.

Quite a few pics of compilations albums from Soul Jazz Records have been appearing on my time line in the last day or so. I thought I'd round mine up and take a photo. I've these 13 on vinyl. I have the Arthur Russell one on CD somewhere in a box in the loft.
Feel free to show me yours!
