Literally just now realizing how bad my anxiety was at my usual gym as I'm processing everything from the huge new gym and feeling nothing but positive about it.

My old friends told me one of my new gym friends is the most intimidating person in the weight room, and that was weirdly comforting. If I'm already good with the big guy, what's there to fear? (Also, the desk kid was reading Mr. Mercedes, so we had a really nice chat about King.)

Made some helpful friends. Still very intimidated.

There will be other sweater vests. *siiiiiiigh*

I'm not a fan of toxic masculinity, but honestly, when I was looking around trying to decide how to get out of the situation, that's what I thought. If I saw a guy do that to another woman, I would tell him to fuck off. (I *have* told men to leave other women alone.)
