I wish that it wasn't an impulse to think in this way when reading news like this, but we're seeing a really alarming lurch to the right and stories (I use that word deliberately) have a potency that we currently seem unable to meaningfully combat. 4/4

Whatever the motivation of this attack, the fact remains that immigrants are NOT a danger to us, and rather are exploited for our benefit. "Native" citizens commit more crimes & violent acts, but the narrative that immigrants are somehow a threat is so resistant to objective truth and morality. 3/4
