Make the world a better place a little bit every day.

Or just don't fuck it up too much.

Rise & grind.
This should trigger a 90% rate on capital gains in their stock. By anyone. Not just execs.
What do these corporations have in common?

Netflix
Ford
Tesla
T-Mobile
Duke Energy
DISH Network
Metlife
Dominion Energy
United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

Somedays I feel like all the things happening are just an elaborate series of plots and schemes to cover up what a total fucking dumbass JD Vance is.

I check in at Fifty Plus One courtesy of @gelliottmorris.com every day. One of the polls added to the average today is a "Wow. Holy shit that's bad" one.

A mayoral candidate saying maybe the city should cover the cost of bus rides gets the full socialism panic treatment before he even tries it.

A sitting president taking billions of dollars worth of shares in private companies gets “I must say, a tad unusual” after it’s been going for nearly a year.

Love going south at Thanksgiving to be with family. But our family condo's A/C is not operating the way it should be and that's sullying the luster a bit. Not gonna lie.

Guy's noodle is totes scrambled. When was the last time someone presented something to him and he wasn't like "That sounds fucking great! Let's do it!"

A mother and her 15 year old autistic son are reunited after nearly 50 days apart.

Emmanuel Garcia went missing, and rather than check missing person’s reports, Houston PD called ICE.

ICE sent him to the Office of Refugee Resettlement and his mom has been fighting to get him back ever since.

Yeah it's Monday morning but I'm on vacation and just put Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath" on my 70's themed playlist so...

Musk claims X is 5% bots. A 2024 5th Column AI study analyzed 1,269 MILLION accounts & estimated that up to 64% of X profiles could be bots. Bots produce content at a much faster rate so a big majority of X content may be bots.

If bots identify that they’re bots, then the choice is yours.

Me to family: if you could have a celebrity mental health counselor, who would you pick?

Son [immedaitely]: Chewbacca

That’s just brilliant. No notes.

I have never experienced anything like the time warp trap of the St. Louis airport. Time has slowed to the crawlest of crawls. I feel like Hammy from "Over the Hedge" after he had the energy drink.

This is a good summation imo. The president is a pudding brain.
the takeaway from the Zohran Trump meeting is that Trump is a gullible fool who will temporarily bend to the last charismatic person he talked to.

Zohran played him perfectly but that doesn’t mean Trump is good now. He’ll go back to fascism tomorrow morning after he talks to Stephen Miller

Just getting the snippets from the Mamdani Oval Office visit here. While I think Mamdani is fabulous, the knee jerk reaction from me is that it's less about how great Zohran is and more about how the president's brain is so gone, he might stroke out any minute & no one would notice any difference.

NEW: Sean Duffy frequently calls safety his “top priority” as transportation secretary. But I spent months wading through regulatory notices and found something far different: that USDOT has been delaying, weakening and killing dozens of safety rules, many opposed by the transportation industry.🧵

Right.

My asthma.
The c-section my wife had when our first child was born.
The emergency surgery she had after our youngest was born because she was hemorrhaging.
The rheumatoid arthritis she'll live with for the rest of her life.

All things we did to ourselves.

If Donald Trump wants to release the Epstein files, he could just release them, instead of green-lighting the House resolution.

And it's not as if he cares whether he has statutory authority to do a lot of what he's been doing.

But he needs a law for this?
