As far as I know I don't have any of that. But hay fever always hits my right nostril and eye first, and most often stays just there. If it moves to my left nostril and eye, then it's REALLY bad.

Yup, that's the one. Back when the country was Zaire

That's also totally valid (and I'd forgotten it!)

I looked up school holiday prices on Air NZ and this is comparable - slightly cheaper depending on the flight you want. So it's not totally exorbitant. It's a start.

My Dad (died 2 years ago at the age of 94) got more left-wing as he aged. Started adult life as a young Nat. In the late 70s and early 80s was an active member of H.A.R.T. Was trying to hold on before he died so he could vote for Labour cos he knew they needed his vote (didn't make it sadly)

My advice to people is if you see a bit of colour that might be fruit, go and investigate. Sometimes it doesn't jump out at you and it's only the curious who get the prize :)

OK, well the best foraging is in Avonside & Richmond. There are heaps of apples and pears about, but they're the latest to ripen. First will be plums, with many ripening over December. There's heaps of variety. Pick a block of land and go adventuring with your eye open :)

Congratulations Jonathan!

It can be a bit of luck whether you find anything or not these days. Usually plenty of apples and pears, but anything really popular(peaches, nectarines, apricots etc) gets stripped before it's anywhere near ripe unfortunately. What would you like to be able to find?

My last employer did it. Had never encountered it before. It's a bloody rort
November 23, 2025 at 2:40 AM
It is a good policy. But it doesn't do anything for the unemployed, or those who work but can't even afford a 3% contribution. Plus, it needs to come with the banning of the "total remuneration package" rort too many employers use
