I doubt Trump wrote that. It is coherent, more adult language, and without words like beautiful, amazing etc. It is also not all self consuming and self-flattering. Whoever wrote it did put in the "If I were president the war would not have happened."

The Democrats told the armed forces not to obey illegal orders. Trump says that is the same as telling them to disobey his orders. So, Trump admitts that his orders are illegal?

Besides that, isn't saying that the Democrates told the armed forces to disobey his orders mean he wants to give illegal orders? I mean, the democrats told not to obey illegal orders, so Trump is basically admitting that he will give illegal orders.

Really? I feel like every time a lower court say the are doing something illegal, the Supreme Court says "no no ,no, they are within their constitutional rights,"

Why is he stunned? I assume he made the video reminding the armed forces not to follow illegal orders because he thought Trump is becoming authoritarian and putting down opponents is what authoritarian leaders do.

I think the bigger story is that we are in a situation where senators felt the need to say what they said. Has that ever happened before?

I think that the bigger part of this story is that US Senators saw the need to warn our armed forces that they may be ordered to do something illegal and remind them of their duty to not follow such orders. That we are in such an situation is mind-boggling.

When it comes to the middle east, I believe Trump just conform to policies of the presidents before him. SA is a authoritarian state with one the most conservative misogynistic version of Islam as the state religion and totally unaligned with our western values. Still a major ally.
