Osha’s of course!
Utterly compelling to witness, and I fear we will never get anything like this again in SW. A corruption arc centred on a black woman made of the Force itself. Her quest for self actualisation and a life all her own. Amandla and Co did amazing work 😍
Osha the Meknek in Episode 1: Lost/ Found. One of my favourite stills of the show😍🎨 She is so incredible forging a new life after losing her dream of being Jedi. Symbolic of her being adrift in the universe looking at the past fire that haunts and taunts her. Isolated from real connection. Cos every time she reaches for what she wants she is burned by it… Osha being haunted by 8 year old Mae. Is it a vision aided by the Force? Their twin connection calling out to her as Mae goes on her vengeance spree? Both?! Osha’a memories and complex feelings towards the sister she blames for the loss of her coven and consequent failure to become a Jedi is so beautifully executed here. The Acolyte really leans into horror elements throughout the show.🤩🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹 I support women’s rights and wrongs! What a finale!!! The ‘show don’t tell’ of Osha’a Ascendancy to the dark side of the force where she belongs!😱🤯😍🎨🔥🌟So many hints along the way, from the prison ship dude sensing darkness in her to her finally channeling all her repressed emotions to the right person (☀️🌞🔆) and completing Qimir’s Acolyte task without even knowing it. She was born of the force to be a Baddie! (Literal and colloquial)😘 That’s my girl! Daddy issues eliminated✔️ Family found and past issues resolved✔️ Brand new emotionality to explore✔️ New master acquired✔️ Said master is a dreamboat AND downbad for me?✔️ New purpose and mission in life to rescue said family✔️ Things are coming up Skura for our beloved Oshie! GIVE US 3 SEASONS AND A MOVIE PLEASE!

That Qimir is Imri Cantaros. when it dropped SW fandom was really buzzing. It was never officially debunked and it is highly unlikely, but I love that Qimir is still given that surname in fics to this day😍🙌🏾🎨

Osha and Jecki in the Khofar forest in episode 4: Day. The girls managed to form a bond amongst themselves not just by both being Sol’s padawans. Being similar and thrust into an order where true warmth is prohibited it is no wonder they would mesh well. Osha is a naturally self determined, empathetic, charismatic person who longs to connect with others, but is repressed by trauma and the Jedi rules. Jecki is someone who has expression, emotionality and exuberance encoded into her DNA, but is trained into repression by the Jedi. Matchy Matchy🤝 Jecki and Sol in episode 2: Revenge / Justice. Jecki as Sol’s padawan was able to see the attachment he still had to Osha, witnessing him staring at her holo picture. I bet she wondered what it is about her that held him still; she got to find out herself and melted under her charms too. Sol was unable to grow so he sought the same level of relationship with another padawan as close to Osha as possible. Sol is someone who so naturally desires connection but is hampered by the order, that once he experienced Osha he was never going to be able to accept a padawan raised by the order from 3 and Jecki was his best alternative for a similar level of attachment. Sol and Osha in Episode 5: Night I have no doubt Sol loved Osha but it was in a very limited way. (Qimir: Why do you only love people who can only go so far? Who can’t go as deep as you can?). Osha being too old for recruitment at the time of the Brendok massacre was also why Sol wanted her so much! She hadn’t had attachment cut out of her. Her immense power in the force insured they would take her on. She was already capable of so much love and feeling already. The very things he wanted her for doomed her Jedi aspirations. It’s all on Sol! But Sol was unable to restrict / contain her emotions and personal growth by getting her to suppress the pain and trauma he himself inflicted on her. Osha was always destined to grow beyond the confines of his love and control. Even at the end he was still trying to justify his actions to Osha, just like the toxic parent he is. Stagnant Sol was unable to change or reconcile the darkness within him (Which Qimir also called him out on!) He had to die because he couldn’t change. And Osha can now have the master and love she deserves. Heroines journey in full, self actualisation🙌🏾✨🌟

The underlying themes and myths as it connects to the Collective Unconsciousness via the two main ships #Oshamir and #Solmae
This show is a Heroine’s Journey and taps into Divine Couple lore further explored in the myriad of fics and art it has inspired. Genius😱😍❤️‍🔥🔥
There is sooooooo much about this show that has amazed and inspired me and made my jaw drop and brain pop. Stunningly original to have a Star Wars corruption arc centred on a woman AND told from her perspective AND HAVING IT LEAD TO SELF ACTUALISATION AND ASCENSION.🤩⭐️🌟💫🔥🔥🔥 Oshamir in episode 6 on the way back from him bathing. One of the key scenes in the series for me is this bit of beach convo. Even the composition of this shot says so much👀 It been a year now and I am still uncovering little nuances and levels to this show. The interwoven complexity of human psychology, spirituality and archetypes that span cultures ages and realities that seem to nestle in the root of humanity bloom and condense in this show. Words cannot express how in awe of it I am Leslye and Co ABSOLUTELY DEVOURED😍🤯😱❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Solmae are the real enemies to lovers for me of this show. Not only did he choose her twin over her, he is also unable to tell them apart at crucial moments. She saw him kill her mother with her own eyes and he likely let her drop to her death because of it.. STILL due to a quirk of fate he ends up confessing the truth to Mae first instead of the twin he thought was his. Mae is a personification of Justice to me cos her tenacity and love for her family and self brought about karma not only for those 4 Jedi but rattled the Hedi order itself. She also brought Osha’a true love to her and ensured their safety. All at the cost to herself. She is her mothers child in that respect, Osha got her powers but Mae got her leadership and mothering nature forreal. Solmae eats in fics because, how can you love and build a life with the very person who destroyed your home, family and near killed you and lied about it all and about you? Real Divine stuff! The was enough material in episode 2 and 6 to feast on the potential of these two🤭Mae gets ALL the BDSM bits!❤️‍🔥 The symbolism of Mae taking Osha’a white outfit as Osha is ‘corrupted’ by Qimir to the darkside and Mae’s vengeance goes on to be completed and is in the clutches of the lightside users of the force. Plus her mind being wiped back to the age she was just before it happened is like a spiritual reset and cleansing and return to innocence. If she and Osha are ‘one person’ it is the closing of the karmic trials on her way to self actualisation. Justice done ✅ that part of the story is over and Osha is ready for the next part of her journey; with Qimir…

Day 24: who would win? Sol V Indara
That’s an easy one, Sol dog walked EVERYONE on the show. Qimir TWICE, his ass saved by the twins. Sol Mogra is one of the best fighters seen in the Jedi. Mae beat Indara and Sol toyed with Mae like a kitten 🐈‍⬛ NO CONTEST🏆

This is now a bit of a Sol appreciation post as I fully slander his emotional and relationship skills in the previous post. But honour his combat expertise fully! Having never come across a darkside user before he locked in adapter and handled unhinged Qimir like a boss. He even managed to deal with a possessed Wookie in his youth!😍 His fight with Mae is one of my favourites!!😍🤩🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥💕He is so damn chill and in control as he assesses her skill and outmanoeuvres her with ease. I was getting Solmae tingles from this fight alone; then once we discovered she witnessed him killing Mama Aniseya it cemented that Solmae are the real ETL ship in the Acolyte 👀💔❤️‍🔥💥 Round 2 with Qimir. Sol was even more powerful here than before and he had adapted to Qimir’s fighting style. It lacked the raw brutality of the hand to hand of the first fight💪🏾 with all the emotion grief and anger which I am sure had Sol dipping into the darkside himself - brought back only by Osha, he was ready to abandon the Jedi code just to beat Qimir! The acolyte has peak battles that are inherent to the narrative🤩🏆 🌞🔆☀️Sol the beautiful flawed majestic Jedi you are🥰🤬😍😱

Osha LITERALLY getting inside Qimir’s head by wearing his mask. A symbol of her trust in him and desire to access the force again as the Jedi way / lightside is lost to her. I love the ways she stares and caresses his mask before putting it on. The reverence and foreplay allusions😍🥵❤️‍🔥🍆 He smiles at her smug and affectionate seeing her wearing his mask, then her powers kick in and she seems in distress; he falls to his knees under her raw power and still fights to reach her despite being under her control! Qimir is TOTALLY the kind of man who adores a woman more powerful than him. He follows her around like a puppy after this BEGGING to let her train him IKTR!🐕‍🦺🦴 The mind control zone. Osha has exactly the same power as her mother, but no mastery of it yet. Even Qimir a master of mind tricks himself has a hard time battling through it. I loooove fics that tap into his awe at her gift and Osha using it on him in training and in bed. 🥰 Imagine having to train someone inherently more powerful than you? Qimir lives for the danger🤣 Not only mind control but she has a vision of ‘Mae’ killing Sol. The force came back to Osha with A vengeance, finally with the right master, and with the emotional reservoirs to tap into her true darkside of the force! Beyond gifted! Seeing the pivotal point of her corruption! Leslye and Co stayed cooking 😍🤩🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥

One of the most powerful force users EVER! The ability to create life with the force, the Sith have been seeking it forever. The twins are powerful also because of the love from their upbringing. She is THE BLUEPRINT. I want her backstory🤩😍🙌🏾👑❤️‍🔥💕💪🏾
Regal, gorgeous, a true leader and mother. I love that Leslye based her on elements of the heroine from the Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. Also hinting she may have come from one of the Nightsister cults and gone solo. Phenomenal character!😍🤩🙌🏾💖💕💖💕 This costume is one of my favourites! The depth of purple and the cowrie shells which are important to many Afro indigenous tribes and people. The level of research and reverence put into this show in order to honour the backgrounds of its diverse cast members is exemplary. Considering the heavy appropriation of Asian cultures from the inception of SW WITHOUT Asian leads UNTIL NOW. The Acolyte is brilliant on so many levels! 3 seasons and a movie please🥰😘 KNEEL… Queen shit right there! 🔥🔥🔥🗣 Aniseya women are not to be trifled with. The twins are their mother’s daughters, Justice was served while serving⚖️🔪💀 I really wanna know what powers Mae inherited if any. Episodes 4-6 is a generational run. One of the best flow of episodes in TV EVER 🙌🏾🌟✨

Episode4 ‘Day’ Greasy Qimir pissing off Mae as they trek to find and Kill Kelnacca. Truly a master of the Darkside and working last nerves😆😈 I’d have pushed him off the hill🤬 Sol, Jecki and Jedi redshirt on Khofar end of episode 4 beginning of episode 5 ‘Night’ just before the massacre! Such a gorgeous shot in this expertly lit show. When does JJ ever not look like a model?!😍🥰 #Solmae crumbs in episode 6 ‘Teach / Corrupt’ someone called this ep the parent swap🤣✅ Amandla murdered her roles! You can see it’s Mae pretending to be Osha! Ferociously talented and deserves her flowers💐🪷🌼🌻🌷🌺 Oshamir on the beach after THAT iconic scene. This is the point of one of my favourite score moments! So many edits on YT of the pool scene and the cave scene after this, but the only one I found of this part had the score but chopped out☹️😱

My favourite detail is the dust they had to keep blowing in for the atmosphere! And when Qimir Force blasted the Jedi?!Those red tracks are so visceral!!

‘Day’ into ‘Night’ was a masterstroke! You got to see the various landscapes of Khofar and then the forest by day before The Stranger rained terror down on them. Another gorgeous shot of that misty dusty atmosphere👀🤩 This was such a beautifully lit show! You could keep track of the kills by the lights cutting out. And Qimir’s being the only red saber… All that exposed red soli representing The Stranger / Qimir’s identity exposed as well as the bloodshed; beautifully contrasting the green foliage and Jecki’s green saber too. Colour theory EATING! I wonder was Kelnacca’s saber made green in preparation for Jecki’s dual duel?!🤔 I think this was some concept art for Khofar. No yellow savers in this shot. I love how overgrown and near swampish this idea is.
