For sure! I didn’t mean they didn’t follow the rubric, but that the teacher should be grading based on the rubric and point to specific criteria to justify that grade. And then provide feedback for improvement. If this had all happened, the 40% would be clear!

At college level, there should be a critique with specific feedback. A grade that low should have workable action attached to it. Art grades should never be feelings based.
