Dropping eldest to another 18th birthday party. This time at a posh manor. We're sat in the carpark like it's a stake out watching who coming and going, because daughter is too nervous to walk in by herself without her friends. I should have brought snacks.

I've pushed this restoration and recolourisation as far as it will go. Autochrome of an unknown red haired woman by Arnold Genthe around 1906. The Lumière brothers began commercially making Autochrome plates in 1907, so Genthe likely made his own using their 1903 patent. His were quite unstable.

Saw a rare photo floating about on here. Vincent Price alongside Anna May Wong, Frederic Tozere and Mackay Morris for the 1937 stage production of "Turandot". The posted original was cropped greatly. Found the wider shot on a Russian account. Expanded and colourised by me. I was bored.

In the vast majority of European countries you'd be facing a panel of judges or a judge led inquisitorial system going over the facts and evidence, rather than the adversarial with a jury where witnesses and experts are actively attacked by barristers for the prosecution & defence.
