Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and game enthusiast. Loves TTRPGs but too shy to find a group. He/him.
Basic rule of character creation in a lot of systems: if you put all your points in one thing, you don't have points left to put in anything else.

Still a bit of an odd position for the leader of an organization composed of men who all took the Confirmed Bachelor perk.

What if the real devil was the friends we made along the way?

No one cares more than the people who make sure other people know that they don't care.

I lack knowledge, but I've noticed that we seem to only respect what countries call themselves if we weren't already calling them something else. For example: Zhongguo (China), Misr (Egypt), Ellada (Greece), and Nippon (Japan).

His 10-year-old heir named me regent and now I feel kind of guilty about the whole plotting rebellion thing.

My view of 40k lore is probably way off since I've read a some of the novels and played some of the video games, but I've never actually looked at the tabletop source books.
It is kind of funny when a book ends on what's supposed to be an ominous sequel hook and I'm just like "What's Isstvan?"

The twist ending is that the beam is friend.

Seeing someone in person and becoming convinced that they are a man of integrity and decency is exactly what it looks like when someone has high charisma.
I'm not saying that he lacks those traits, but having them and convincing others that he has them are two different things.

It's one extra step and I think a lot of trolls are just after targets of opportunity.

Kept you waiting, huh?

I don't like the graphic. "The same " should be between "increased a little" and "decreased a little."

It was, um, research for a book I plan to write someday.

One of Harry Potter's magical abilities is instantaneous teleportation. Instantaneous is faster than light. So, we'll start on cracking FTL travel. Once FTL travel has been figured out, team 1 is victorious and team 2 can start work on miniaturizing it so it can be done by a single person.

Huh, neat. My mom bought me the D&D basic set when I was a kid.

Starfield run where you don't build outposts.

Blue Stormy. Kind of works.

I believe it's the same book in which men are expected to be armed at all times so they can defend their honour in duels and women carry personal shield generators.

Randomly reminded of a Heinlein book in which there are no dentists because the department of eugenics decided to select for good teeth.
