Having to write these bios gives me a sense of existential dread. In other news, some people on other platforms think I occasionally have interesting things to say.

Eight weeks later and I had to pause on everything bc my shoulder got worse. We’re now over 6 months out from the injury and not healed. Here’s a little v switch I worked on today.

This is a better savory bread pudding than the one I made for Thanksgiving

This video is doing some numbers on TT so I thought I’d share here too. It’s part of the latest episode of The Present Illness, in which we discuss the attacks on higher ed in general and specifically the Samantha Fulnecky situation at OU.

Before universal newborn vaccination for Hep B, only about 1/2 of newborns who contracted Hep B got it from the birthing parent. The new ACIP recommendations will needlessly expose those infants for 2 months, and 90% of those who get Hep B will be at risk for liver cancer and cirrhosis. MAHA ftw

I had totally forgotten about Ronnie, who I think is actually my favorite. “My worst qualities? Oh, why can’t they just find that out on their own??”

Idk Tina is quite spectacular, or, in her words, “friggin’ great”!

A man entered the school and targeted women because he felt feminists had ruined his life. He carried with him a list of women he wanted to kill, ultimately killing 14 women and injuring another 10 (and 4 men as well). The women who died ranged in age from 20-31. (Video filmed 2 y ago)

I went to the original video to find the comment—so did a lot of other people lol. I think it’s gone so we may never know

Gwen really wants someone to go to PTA meetings with her, and she doesn’t want to be with anyone who will hire a lawyer more expensive than she can afford (if things get weird). She winds down with a Virginia Slim and cottage cheese. A character!

I’m pretty sure Mike is never going to make this mistake again

You’re clearly not well-informed, or else you wouldn’t be pushing these lies. Very sad to see. This figure is what happened bc of newborn vaccination for Hep B. You are arguing for more children to be sick.

My thoughts on the incomprehensible comments made by Erika Kirk, where she suggests women are delaying marriage and having children bc we rely on the government for relationships.

Does the NYTimes know there are women who can actually speak coherently on women’s concerns?

It is the inclusion of this lawyer that seemingly pushed Cassidy to finally admit ACIP has been discredited
December 5, 2025 at 6:57 PM
In case anyone was wondering, here’s what Cassidy has to say about it. He seems allergic to accountability, but this wouldn’t have happened if he had just said no to RFK Jr’s confirmation.

Thought-provoking talk from @erictopol.bsky.social today at @stanforddeptmed.bsky.social on aging, suggesting we aren’t really doing preventive care now but could be if we used more advanced tools

This guy was torturing women job candidates by giving them a diuretic and then making them go for a walk, ensuring they didn’t have access to a toilet. They would end up either peeing in public or wetting themselves. Years after discovering the spreadsheet where he tracked all this, he’s still free.

Somebody thinks it’s funny to tell Instagram I am in need of help. They’re doing it pretty much daily. And it doesn’t look like there’s any way to stop them. I don’t know if they think they’ll eventually get me banned this way or what.

Higher education will crumble if we continue to let students weaponize their bigotry to claim discrimination. Texas A&M, Indiana University, and the University of Oklahoma have already signed their own death certificates. Shameful.

A little Alice in Wonderland pre-holiday vibe

Would love to hear about any delicious recipes folks have or recently discovered! I’m always looking for new things to make. Also, if anyone is looking for a savory bread pudding, this one is fantastic! Can’t recommend highly enough

…the crust. I probably wouldn’t have made their crust anyway (I have a few recipes I love and always regret trying different ones), but I would have liked instructions on how they achieved the lattice in the photo (instead, I just sort of figured something out).

Last up is the pumpkin pie I make…

I doubled all the seasonings and the mustard. Also swapped proportions of cheddar and colby. Turned out way better than last year.

The third dish is another one I find on the same thread, which was a salted caramel apple pie. 6/10, probably would not make again. I love making pies. But this…

…again (see #1 and #2), but if I did, I would add more salt, and I would probably use frozen spinach to save some money and time.

Next up is the mac and cheese. I made Tini’s recipe that went viral last year. 10/10, will definitely make again. I made modifications from the original recipe:

I spent over 24 hours making these four dishes. Here is my honest, no-holds barred review!

First up, the spinach artichoke dip:

6/10, would not make again. I got the recipe from someone on @annabower.bsky.social’s Thanksgiving thread (no shade to whoever posted it). Here’s why I give it such a…
