This is the big story:

1) The President ordered a killing campaign outside of the law.
2) He got OLC to make up a fake war to justify killing real people.
3) And he got the military to carry out the killings.

Purporting to justify those killings is aiding in covering up that plain reality 👇

People think this is about whether she helped RFK's campaign but it's really about whether she helped Trump's. She was helping her boyfriend (or whatever the fuck he was) get a role in the Trump administration while writing about the election.

And she covered Trump's campaign while her lover was negotiating for a role in his administration!
The details are gross both aesthetically and morally, but Nuzzi played a consequential role in the ending of a sitting president’s re-election bid. Even if you don’t include her role in RFK then getting DHHS, that alone is worth discussing

This is obviously total thuggery, but, in my limited capacity as a short-lived former letter carrier for USPS: it is also a completely empty bluff. Fucking good luck to Amazon doing last mile delivery to every address in the US.
Exclusive: Amazon has long been USPS’s top customer, providing over $6 billion in annual revenue in 2025.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

Reality Labs spent $70 billion+ over the past 4 years, per @mikeisaac.bsky.social, without developing, launching, & scaling any killer app for Mark Zuckerberg’s vision for a #metaverse. Now, Meta is pivoting from virtual reality to smartglasses with AI to augment our vision. (I expect to see… ads.)

Not like it would be justified if they were drug smugglers, but I think it hasn't gotten enough focus that a boat with 11 people onboard heading from Venezuela to Trinidad was almost certainly migrants. These were probably, at least for some of them, people fleeing Maduro. That's who they murdered.

tangent: _this is a big part of why the "Darmok" TNG episode couldn't have worked as presented_. Some Tamarians would have taken the straight interpretation of some story and some would take an ironic inversion.
It drives me nuts. The whole point of the scene is exactly the opposite of how it was chopped up and used in online discourse! It's almost like sometimes the internet is wrong.
So I ended up doing exactly this (well not every episode but...) and it's not pointed out often enough that almost everybody uses this meme wrong. (Don is intensely jealous of / threatened by Ginsberg and thinks about him constantly!)

The story isn't so much that a senile rapist is having his inhibitory impulse filters dissolve, but that the media *does not seem to have a problem with this*

Think about how journalists who don't lick boots, would respond to this at that moment.
