That's the problem. The last election sounded like the most racist, sexist and xenophobic one Id ever seen and so many white people refused to even address how scary it was ...because white nationalism isn't an existential threat to all of them and they felt they could take their chances.

IN ADDITION, Hegseth failed to learn or adopt the number one precept of Army leadership, specifically aimed at officers: "I am responsible for everything my unit does or fails to do."

This has been my frustration with convincing people to get the flu shot *for years* now. Every article about flu was a photo of a shot in an arm, not people dying from it, not someone looking awful while sick with it. It made it hard to convince people to get the vaccine.

Couldn't agree more--I went with a pic of the disease in a recent measles story, but it was admittedly a little tricky to find a suitable option for our website (some stock images seemed photoshopped?) More legit photos of kids with measles, people in iron lungs, etc. need to be out there
