It was a process. I’d quit then start again, then quit again & start again…over & over for 2 years & I gained 20 pounds! But I’m glad I did it.

I smoked for 25 years & quit in 2004. I still miss it! But I’d never start up again - it’s slow suicide.

Trump would burn the entire world to ashes *for spite* if he doesn’t get his way. Even f it wouldn’t accomplish any purpose for him, he’d do it anyway - that’s how vindictive & petty he is.

I am almost hopeless that anything is going to stop us becoming a fascist dictatorship under Trump but I’m still showing up to the protests, emailing my reps & boycotting his corporate enablers.
I feel like it’s the only way to maintain my personal integrity, even if it ultimately doesn’t work.

Agreed. It‘s going to take something extraordinary to stop him - a military coup or civil war.

I don’t think I ever met an adult who didn’t smoke until I was in my 20s. Even the nuns at my Catholic school smoked - we could see them if we peeked into their break room.

We have laws but we never use them against rich traitors. Lincoln let Jefferson Davis walk away free, Ford let Nixon walk away free & I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump gets the same sweet deal. It’s disgusting. Anyone who says “nobody is above the law” has not been paying attention.

Yes we do. He resigned, was never charged/tried for his crimes & continued merrily living his life in comfort & freedom.

I will never get over the fact that *nobody in a position of authority did fuck-all to stop it.* Our safeguards against tyrants & criminals failed us on a grand scale.
