Just reposting this as my teenage son does his last preparation this weekend for his big Movember run for mens mental health charities. Even the tiniest support means so much to him (and me). My love to anyone going through it. X
Hello friends. Dropping this here to support my son, who has been through some stuff I wouldn't wish on anyone and is channelling his experience into a near marathon in laps around the Emirates for mens mental health charities. Any pennies, or goodwill messages, appreciated! ❤️

Coming very soon: open call for submissions for Vol 2 of the IF Anthology of New Indian SFF.

As last time (and always), no commissioned work, no pre-approved guest list, fully open call, and blind review.

Watch this space!
The portals are opening again!

We will soon be inviting submissions for the second IF anthology of new Indian SFF edited by @gautambhatia88.bsky.social.

Stay tuned!

And another. Hopefully we can add a third to complete the week's set at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
A true statement victory tonight to use a @stadio.football -ism.

THE* Arsenal, but yes!
That second half from Arsenal was fucking sensational. As good as you could possibly hope to put in against a team as good as this.

Bossed it 100%. Madueke with his first goal, and then Martinelli, no less than we deserved. And Bayern offered NOTHING after the break.

Hello Europe, we're Arsenal

Today marks one year since my dear grandfather's passing. He's been in our thoughts every single day of that year. Here's a special newsletter issue that went out earlier today to all my subscribers.

Nice of all the other teams to contrive to achieve Invincibles Day so early this season. Have a good week ahead, Gooners!

Liverpool had a five point lead. Now Arsenal are ahead by one in the space of two weeks.

It’s a LONG season, folks. We’d all do well not to overreact.

That's Mikel Striker Merino to you. And the Arsenal player who has scored the most goals in this calendar year to others.

I've been saying this like a mantra since catching up on the scores.
Don't you dare fuck it up tomorrow, Arsenal

I spent the summer reporting this essay on why it seems harder than ever to sell a book right now—especially if it isn't a debut and comes with the dreaded "sales track." I'm grateful to the writers, agents, editors, publishers & experts who spoke to me for this piece: thewalrus.ca/the-publishi...

Was never in doubt, at least to me, but big bad things have happened regardless, so am pleased to hear about Willo's new contract!

Why can't we have nice things? Nice in this scenario refers to a healthy and fit squad, not a one in one out, as @emilyoram.bsky.social put it. Every. Single. Game. This. Season. Just why though 😭

One early-season trend I'd love for us to get rid of: losing one player to injury every game 😭 #Arsenal

One of the most striking things about last night's win is the bench strength we now have. @anande.bsky.social and I were talking about how weird (in the best way) it feels to finally have that kind of depth.
