I once heard from a guy, who was put up at the Novotel, but had a Dr's appointment in town.

Because the "hotel" provided food, he only got £8.86 a week, so he had to walk it.

Which took 3 hours, there and back. Which meant he missed a meal.

The entire system is set up to be cruel by design.

Do they think this will make them sound “tough on immigration”? Makes them sound like they’d have a chocolate teapot!

Book 51 of 2025 #WhatItFeelsLikeForaGirl by #ParisLees, I read this for a #BookClub, but I’m sure like many the brilliant BBC adaptation had meant this was on my TBR for a few months. I love how it’s written in the dialect of ‘ucknall. Made me chuckle, smile and cry! #BookSky #QueerSky #TransSky

We need to look at the treatment of the Kalaallit / Greenlandic people Denmark has a history of forced contraception the so called #spiralkampagnen, Kalaallit parents are 5.6 times more likely to have their children removed by the state. Brits need to stop with the rose tinted look at Scandinavia

I still think this would’ve done well at Eurovision. It’s so catchy
