I think it's shameful that during a second Trump administration, and after NYC voters rejected a return to moderate, conciliatory governance, that a Democrat would tout the entirety of the Council's Republican caucus as her supporters.

I'd assumed Shor was trying to sell Dems on the best way to survive racial resentment despite believing there was no way to avoid being defeated by it (at least for a while). Instead I believe Shor is simply trying to sell Dems on adopting out of electoral interest the positions he actually holds

you know, if i were in the position of interviewing jeffries here, i would ask the congressman to specify exactly when and where mamdani used that language.

I don't think the fact that Zohran Mamdani is running an issues-focused campaign, is inspiring a new generation of voters with bold policy proposals and has over 40,000 volunteer canvassers is coincidental. Those are all results of the democratic socialist ethos at the core of the campaign.
