Indeed. And it's not just about tech, it's also, and perhaps mostly, about restraint - a message very few want to hear, even though well managed it could actually increase well-being in the Global North...

Absolutely. Keeping up the hopium when all signals are flashing red, our actions are still so deeply insufficient and we rely on largely non-existent tech to produce miracles is 👎

I really don't know how this scientist can claim that "global emissions may peak this year ". Three weeks left for 2025! 🤒https://bsky.app/profile/annieleymarie.bsky.social/post/3m6zk4rsbz22j
"It now looks like global emissions may peak this year."

Bio-based Construction Technologies
HEMSPAN® is a construction technology business developing bio-based, circular systems to capture and store atmospheric carbon in buildings.

Clearly. It runs very deep in current human culture. Not just the Bible, not just Americans. Most religions, but especially the monotheistic ones, promote human supremacy; seeing us as "custodians of nature" is part of this hierarchical, patriarchal belief system where we're superior & dominate.

Clearly. My comment is ironical.
