I haven’t read her first series but I’m told it’s very similar! The Others books are set in a fantasy world where humans are very firmly not allowed to overpopulate or over consume. Good humans understand this, bad humans meet sticky ends.

She wrote a very specific sort of book and does it well. Usually there is a main character who is taken under the wing of a Power and she can do no wrong. Men are bastards to women and punished for it. People are greedy and punished for it. It’s all on the cozy end of dark fantasy.
