I think the taboo of the challenges of academic environments is very slowly, glacial pace really, but starting to be talked about more openly even in the news here in Germany at least. I'm sure your experience would be relatable to more people than you think... It's brave to open up about them.

Thank you to all the many people who helped me with my proposal and a special shout-out to my first ever research assistant Sarah Sonnenberg. To the wonderful, encouraging and supportive people I met along the way.
