I don’t disagree; however, I will go one further: it is about POWER as much, if not more, than privilege. I suspect that behaviors that are more conscious are more about power while unconscious behaviors more about privilege.

Yes. Our government is broken. It is sooooo depressing and I don’t see how to “fix” it so that we have reasonable people making reasonable decisions for their constituents.
