Reminder, Senate Republicans can reopen the government with the majority they have. They use their majority to remove the filibuster for the CR, and then use their majority to pass the CR. Not sure what stops them from doing this.

@yasharali.bsky.social had an insight that I had not considered. All the talk about Jake Tapper's book about President Biden is likely being amplified by the algorithms that monitor our social media feeds. It just feels like the focus is on President Biden, and not on President Trump. Ignore it.

Not a single international cargo ship at the Port of Seattle. The port is dead. The last ship from China will dock at a West coast port on the 29th, and the last Chinese ship will dock on the East coast around May 10th. After that, there will be no more shipments arriving from China. We’re screwed.

I'm glad the Gayle King, Katy Perry, Lauren Sanchez, and the others had a chance to cross over the line into space for a few minutes earlier this week. It was a nice ad for space tourism. What about the trip will encourage girls to go into STEM, esp. when the Trump Admin is erasing women from STEM?
