i'm catching him doing this similar ASD quirk I have, where he's infodumping and giving as much context as possible; but because of his reputation and class as a millionaire youtuber ceo, it incriminates him because of the breadth of information he's volunteering. but that instinct isn't bad

I left the second season not feeling particularly kind to Craig Mazin as a screenwriter, and confused why Druckmann wasted his time and energy

I was conflicted on the second game, but it feels like they purposefully chose to lean into what was most obtrusive about it, and strip what made it tick. People like me who were ambivalent or outright fond of the second game; and the same gamers who always hated it were both left annoyed.

I don't necessarily see "queer folk with severe PAIS or ovotesticular or mixed gonadal dysgenesis DSD" being represented through art, fiction, or even really being eroticized.

I was reassigned male early on & while I have an underlying DSD, am medically more male, if ambiguous. I was plausibly born more female, before surgical intervention. I have a lot of traits vastly more common among ftm/afab queer folk, yet, albeit non dyadic/conventional, male anatomical traits.

TloU and Arcane season 2 were both pretty bad, recently

Do you enjoy this? Does this please you?

I was on a high deductible dependent plan in 2022, and I had to fight with like fifty different insurance reps every couple weeks for a year. Nothing radicalizes someone more than dealing with the private insurance system

It's difficult to regulate oneself emotionally and make higher level, more grounded decisions; if their life circumstances are chaotic. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy to crawl out of that hole, if the resulting trauma responses are harshly judged or mocked.

It's difficult to convey that these industries are at their core- specialized desk jobs that require years of study and foundations; yet are very social and predicated upon networking and nepotism. This would put somebody like me in a compromised position, when I'm not starting out from stability.

When I express my struggles in education or in employment, especially wrt animation/games, some people go "But you write really good! there are lots of autistic people and neurodivergent folk in those industries."

Yes, but they're basically the higher functioning, more socially adept folk.
December 2, 2025 at 1:26 AM
A lot of IRL neurodivergence/ASD spaces are geared towards individuals who are very high functioning and adept at masking; and consciously or not gatekeep fellow people on the spectrum, who perhaps are higher support needs. This coincides with access to employment and training.

Part of my emotional intelligence is really developed, but I have intense reactions to events or trauma most people have compartmentalized or dismiss as "normal."

I feel like I'm an English major or writer trapped in a 5'2" body with hEDS and deteriorating joints

I feel like a lot of stuff can be boiled down as simply being through virtue of me being autistic, not super adept at masking and having more extreme meltdowns/sensory issues; being in contrast with me being super literate, and having really high verbal ability and linguistic skills.
