Our school district is having meetings this week in fact on the topic. The HS kids start at like 7:10 because they reuse the buses for the elementary schools who start at 9. The district used the argument that this allows the older kids to be home to pick up their siblings or go to jobs.

I suspect a trans reader of the article immediately thought "I bet this professor is LGBTQ" so dug deeper and a cis reader of the article considered no further than the text. And that's a chunk of the divide here.

I have observed over the years that MTG, D&D and wargaming ended up conservative coded whereas the boardgaming and Pathfinder communities ended up liberal coded and I'm not sure how that all happened. I do not play D&D or pathfinder and haven't played Warhammer TT in 30 years.

If you have never been at a new restaurant or cafe or bar (especially one with a line) and nervous you're going to *order wrong* then you do not have the same kind of anxiety as me lol. Imagine that but cranked to 11 and focused as hate at the restaurant for daring to make them anxious.

"Having lots of choices makes me scared that I'm not making the same choice as my peers and that I will be mocked or outcast for those choices" (Paraphrased). Yeah, that completely makes sense. There's comfort in conformity. Lots of people are afraid to stand out.

I don't think Kiffen is a particularly good coach either. All of his significant success has been as Ole Miss in the last 5 years. His first head coaching job was like 2006.

I've found that every time one of my teams has hired a coach that I couldn't cheer for *as a person* it has gone badly for my team.

Yeah, I don't think you fire him till you have the next man lined up and I'm not sure you have it this year. But also maybe you take a retread for 2 years knowing you're going to fire him just to sell tickets. Is Mack Brown available?
