Okay youngins, time to get Mr Peabody and Sherman, dust off the Wayback Machine and take a trip into the past to the time of Bert the Turtle and the concept of Duck and Cover, and Fallout Shelters in public buildings and schools.

Maybe time to rebroadcast The Day After as an Afterschool Special

Vacationing in Black Hills, SD and Roosevelt NP, ND. Have had clouds come in nearly each night.

Last night I beat them. View looking up from campfire dinner and from atop Mount Coolidge. (Just phone photos, haven’t processed from big camera yet)

This is Elsa. Elsa adopted us in January on the coldest day of the year when she appeared in our yard, probably hitching a ride on a power company repair truck as our power line snapped and knocked out power for the neighbourhood.

We put food out for her while she roosted in a tree out front.

President Zelensky sitting and contemplating why more people don’t use the ALT-TXT feature in photos to expand even further on their post.

“Come on, there is like, 250 characters on here, but the. 2,000 characters in Alt-text you could be using too.”

“Ewwww…that smell again…can someone take baby?

Looks over to his left again.

“Does his diaper need to be changed? There’s that smell again. Can’t you smell it? It’s like, just awful.”

President Zelensky looking for help from the photographers and handlers in the room.

“Did someone forget to give him his bottle? Did we go past his nap time?”

I applaud Zelensky’s befuddlement and restraint. Yes, the meeting could have gone better. And Zelensky could have ended the meeting on an upbeat tone and saved the US with an easy elbow to the face and a flying leap/punch onto the guy on the couch. But the little babies know not of what they speak.

I have been looking forward to introducing my daughter next weekend to The Journey of Natty Gann. She’s grown up with dogs and know she’ll melt at the end of the movie, just like I always do, all these years later.

The big question is: do I watch it this week before we watch it as a family??
February 9, 2025 at 5:48 AM
The other actor from that movie was @meredithsalenger.bsky.social and I was so jealous she got to hang out with Jed! I had a big crush on her, her poise, attitude, hair, and, as Natty, the adventure she took.

I longed for a second Natty Gann movie.

Long ago, way back when (1985), I went to a movie and fell in love with two stars.

The first was named Jed, and I adored him. He had cool fur, penetrating eyes, and such a nice beautiful smile. I got to meet him on tour in the early 90s as he was the star of White Fang. I even got to shake his paw.

#NOAA is essential for providing life saving data through the America's and across the world.

#Weather is NOT political. There are NO private companies that exist with the same data and model forecasts and sea buoy info and runs weather satellites provides safe sanctuaries for marine animals & more

You know… it’s not often that this happens, right? Wild chicken in the house?

Friday arrived home from work to someone waiting at the door for me. “Where’s food please?” she asked while moving slightly so I could enter the door. She almost followed my inside, but remained patient for me to bring her out a handful of seed and carrots.

I can sum up why the Elimination of the Department of Education (House Resolution 369) is a bad idea and education is important by using the following photo.

Happy New Year everyone.

For about 8 years or so, I hung out with Louie Anderson for New Year Eve shows. He was always so grateful for the work we did behind the scenes and enjoyed the random phone calls he’d make to me.

Enjoy and cherish your friends and family, use this coming year wisely.

After stacking the pieces of wood and letting it sit to dry, thanksgiving weekend we split it. And I built a 4x8’ 5’ tall firewood shed to stack the wood. Didn’t get the roof on yet, was suppose to be this week.

Yeah, it’s not big enough.
