Even if European and American producers can "defend" their home markets (i.e. via tariffs), they'll really struggle with exports to the rest of the world.

However "in 2023, the MG4 is the second best-selling EV in the United Kingdom" and the 2nd Gen only started preorders a little more than 3 weeks ago, so could be a dip due to model change.

I agree that it's not the worst outcome for Ukraine, but investments need security -> probably incompatible with a frozen conflict and continued hybrid war.
Russia will do anything to avoid a prospering Ukraine at its doorstep that provides contrast to any occupied teritories and itself.

The youth bulge caused by high population growth in the last decades combined with the impacts of climate change are a recipe for potential disaster for a lot of countries/regions, even before considering botched Western adventures.

I get the sentiment that solar should be placed on existing sealed surfaces first, but this needs to be seen in relation to energy crops.
Solar -> Grid/EV is way more efficient than the biomass/biofuel route.
