Ok, ClassicsBlueskyCrowd! I’m going to Istanbul for the first time next week. Please hit me up with your recommendations for what a historically interested (esp. Greek/Byzantine/early Christian) tourist should do, beyond the obvious stuff. Also very interested in restaurant recommendations!

Unboxing day! Thanks to all the many people who helped along the way. I hope it’ll generate some interest in these fascinating fragments. Among other things they’re about a people’s own responsibility for preserving its democracy. So not entirely irrelevant for our current moment.
