So many things get me about the roll over, show belly capitulation from the Senate. And one of them is that the promise of a future vote in the Senate isn't even the promise (ha!) of future *passage* of an ACA bill because House would have to deliver same promise.

Imagine choosing Bari Weiss for anything when Versha Sharma exists? While Bari cries about concocted "cancellation" and promoted beyond her capabilities, folks who are actually speaking the truth and nothing but AND generate profits are forced into silence.
Hi.

I’ve been editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue for the last 4.5 years — a dream job, one I never thought a Brown girl from small town Louisiana might hold.

I am so incredibly proud of the work we’ve done and what we accomplished. Our journalism has won major awards. (cont’d)

It is not only a duty to tell the truth, it can be an act of righteous rebellion.
Really wish I had gotten a better shot of this but holding a phone that says “who else was just ‘following orders’?” up to a riot cop is hard as hell

“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

Pollingism is the Democratic default that assumes voters are rational actors, make their decisions on basis of issue preferences, & that polling can allow us to accurately discern how they will actually behave.

You know how watching a new comedian bomb at Open Mic makes your whole body crunch with second-hand embarrassment? Yeah. That. But with an equal dose of rage.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

UK's Zack Polanski understands the most basic rule of messaging: if you want to touch a nerve, you have to touch a nerve. Of course they're coming after him and of course his Green Party is rising in polls and members.

What was behind Tuesday's Dem sweep? Borrowing a page from Bonnie Rait, winners pursued the "Let's Give 'Em Something to Talk About." And didn't get caught flat, or foot in mouth, when MAGA trotted out their divide to conquer hate baiting.

Many of us start our days with coffee. Let the coffee makers lead the way to start much bigger things too!!!
BREAKING: Starbucks baristas at Downtown Disney couldn’t stand another day of their managers’ unfair labor practices & kicked off our nationwide strike this weekend. These workers have shut down one of largest Starbucks stores in the country — and we’re just getting started! #NoContractNoCoffee

40* Senate Dems said no. House Dems have said they will fight & we should encourage them. Meanwhile, Reps have gone all in on Trump's efforts to turn our government into a weapon against our people.

Do not help your opposition is politics 101. Do not help fascists who have turned government into a weapon against our people is human 101. So is, don't draw a line you claim represents your unwavering principles and hurl yourself across it.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

And also, know that Democrats who came of age and of power in this pay-to-play system were never going to be what saves us. Only those of - whatever our day jobs - actually willing to confront this regime will bring us out.
