Finally a chelicerate !!!! Eramoscorpius is a silurian scorpion with significant modern features for its age, making it really important for scorpion's evolution

Did some drawings of chelicerates since the begining of the month🦂🕷️

I'm really happy with what I did for Aphantomartus ifeldicus, it was my very first trigonotarbid drawing and also the first paleoart of this species as I'm aware of, more representation for obscure taxa !✊

A male woodlouse spider (Dysdera crocata, extant species) The spider is mainly red and yellow (very warmish colors) and have long robust fangs to prey on woodlouse Euproops, a horseshoecrab from the Carboniferous with a well segmented opisthosoma and more spines than our modern species, it also lived in freshwater A male ornate cow tick (Dermacentor reticulatus, extant species), easily recognisable by the yellow-red-black pattern on its back and with the bumps at the end of the body Aphantomartus idelficus, a trigonotarbid (extinct arachnid order) from the permian. Like all trigonotarbids, its opisthosoma is sub-segmented in 3 from left to right (a bit like a trilobite). Since it's maybe the first paleoart of this species and due to the ""not really well"" preserved main specimen of this species, certain parts of its anatomy is based upon the other species of Aphantomartus (like for the morphology of the legs and details of the carapace). The black color with yellow dots of the body is speculative.

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

Lizard and bird, two taxa separated by 300 million years of evolution.
Eizo, rather big Varanus acanthurus, weighs 420g, while the average european greenfinch weighs 30g. Fortunately, he prevailed!
