We've got some more darkening on the chrysalis! It used to be that the cap was darker while the bottom was still vibrant green.
Now, we've got a more uniform color over the whole thing!
I wondered if this might happen, hence the later update. Go caterpillar, go! 🦋

Chrysalis Watch: Day 15!
We've got some more darkening on the chrysalis! It used to be that the cap was darker while the bottom was still vibrant green.

We've got wing spots!!! I think that means we can officially move into Butterfly Watch for our Queen Butterfly!!!
So happy to see this! I was worried that the temperature dips may have negatively affected our little caterpillar buddy. So happy to see this progress today!

Caramel apple pie is prepped and ready to go in the oven! I haven't made this in quite a few years. It feels good to bake again!
Had to make a few little accents too because after all, Leaves Is Plants. ❤️

First warm sunny day in over a week, and as a result, you can clearly see the darkening of the cap as it extends downward through the rest of the chrysalis!

I call these pants Timeless Hart, because there are 15 buttons on the high waisted top giving Timeless Toni Storm vibes and the baggy pant legs give Julia Hart!
And there's corset lacing in the back.

Cooler temperatures have slowed the metabolic processes of the caterpillar as it undergoes its metamorphosis.
But today, we're starting to get darkening on the chrysalis cap! We've passed the halfway point, and within a few days, we'll transition to butterfly watch! 🦋

Went clothes shopping yesterday to celebrate 50 lbs lost over the last year and a half. After decades of trying and failing... I actually hit my goal! 🤯🙌
