Erstwhile medievalist, over-explainer, cat paparazzi. Name-squatter on many platforms.
Huh. Sweeter than I’d normally want a white roll to be, the end result is more like a really good scone than any scone I’ve had since going gluten-free. I’ll call that a win, @mbrobergmoffitt.bsky.social !

Now, if only I had access to decent clotted cream…

Hmm. Spikier on the top surface than is strictly desirable: perhaps I should have veeery gently patted them into shape with floured hands or a spatula.

But they do resemble bread, just about.

Well, they rose a bit, and are more bun-shaped than they were an hour ago!

I finished Haldor Laxness’ Under The Glacier and started on Olga Tokarcsuk’s Drive Your Plow Over The Bones of the Dead.

My assistant here has also devised a cunning method of helping me through a chunky law textbook (picking out existing notes for me to expand upon).

Professor Peachie says today is a good day to learn what defence counsel should NOT do if their client makes admissions in confidence (see Tuckiar v R, 1934).

Admire the stern of the MV Puffin, only slightly less pointy than the bow.

My chariot has arrived. Ladies and gentleplumes, I give you: the stilliest boat on the port. Yes, it looks permanently back to front. It has a helm on the front outside of the cabin so you can steer it going the other way if you so desire.

I don’t have a picture to describe “book perturbed me so much I overslept then tried to don a sports bra as underpants”, but fortunately Mr Peach provided an enactment of the rest of my emotional state just now: burrito? Shiny things? Gimme.

Burrito, joy of his desiring.

Ah. Turns out, medicines, medicine bottles, and pill boxes are all VERY INTERESTING for birds!

He was removed to his cage, where he sulked while I finished the week’s pill sorting. Unjust! Unfair!

The best-laid dinner plans of Az gang agley on account of handsome but rascally dog.

Handsome rascal turned up in our yard, sending Dog Of The House into a frenzy. When rascal’s tag number was called, owner said she had fallen down on the waterfront nearby.

Had doggie gone for help?

Aspiring omnivore assesses @mbrobergmoffitt.bsky.social ‘s book. It has his favourite colours and textures, but he decided he preferred the taste of violence this morning.

My duties also include allowing the dog to lean against me while she cleans her forepaws.

My screaming soulmate here screams much less than 5-7 years ago, and causes less mayhem. He seems mostly happy to hear that one of the humans has been medically instructed to lounge around in his enclosed balcony area.

The dog is happy too - she’s not allowed in the Bird Zone unsupervised.

Spent less than 5 minutes in this, and now my iPhone won’t charge up due to “water in the lightning port” (despite having been in a cover, in my pocket, the whole time)

That’ll do, city, that’ll do.

Please admire a creature living her best life: fast asleep, trapping her human on the couch, hugging a leg with a foreleg for good measure.
