Indeed. It’s not mutually exclusive. There are some terrific “Republican” or Republican appointees who are speaking out. I would EXPECT and trust that Democrat appointees and Democratic Judges do the same if we end up with a despot on the left. It’s the Constitution. That is bipartisan.

This man committed several crimes. He needs to be prosecuted. Battery for touching the door which hit the Amazon driver. Possibly upgraded to a felony hate crime. Filing a false police report which is a felony too. He is also guilty of assault for threatening conduct on a public way.

The First Amendment against the Establishment of religion does not prohibit the mixing of POLITICS with religion. One is definitely allowed to bring their religion into politics. However, they are prohibited from institutionalizing it. There is a huge distinction.

I am not using “faith”’in a religious context or sense. There are many synonyms for “faith.” Belief? The language “faith” is found in the US Constitution. It can be a legal term of art. For instance, good faith and fair dealing is a widely used legal phrase.

I appear in court almost daily. There are thousands of Judges, Lawyers, (prosecutors and defense), police in court houses everywhere in every corner of America invoking the Rule of Law and Justice. Go to your local courthouse and observe. Pick any court…federal, state and municipal hearings. Any day

I have faith in our Judges. Thank god for our Judges. If we believe for a minute that we no longer have the rule of law and or that it was “yesterday,” then it will be so.

We aren’t in normal times. I am just relying on my 35 years in the justice system. Re read the initial post. She has been pulled over several times. I am guessing it’s a DMV or database issue. Anonymous tips are unreliable unless there is corroborated information. Cops know that.

I have the point. Go through my postings. Many many are about ICE. I am simply responding in this very graphic in this thread. I don’t think any human being is illegal. If an immigrant poses an issue, that is for local authorities to deal with, not ICE.

If you have those, you must acknowledge the Rule of Law. You consent to that. Didn’t you post that the Rule of Law is dead? Try boosting a TV from Walmart. Officer Krupke will take the “rule of law” and stick it up the place where no sun shines. Crudely put, but essentially correct.

Of course laws are a human construct, Thomas and Alito notwithstanding. They both speak fondly of Natural Law. I would contend even God’s law was made by humans. The Bible is just one big committee document.

Courts to me are the foundation of our democracy embodying the Rule and role of law. Courts operate in all corners of America. From the tiniest of hamlets in rural countries to our major metro areas, courts are democracy in action. They operate daily to resolve conflicts and bring justice.

Any attorney who appears in court with a client at her side and advocates for their rights, even in a traffic court, knows and impliedly communicates that the rule of law is alive and well. Every Judge who takes the bench is the Rule of Law. Thank god for Tocqueville’s idea of “fragmentation.”

When we start believing that, it is. The authority to govern is derived from the consent of the governed. I have faith and refuse to believe that or let that go because of MAGA which is fraying. I don’t want to live like Mad Max in anarchy or a police State like The Sleeper.

Of course he is a racist and bigot. I get that. I am just pointing out the law. By law he can’t do what he said. He can make June 14 a free day, however. He’s will claim his Executive Order is facially neutral. It is. See cases like Arlington Heights v Metropolitan Housing Development Corporation.

MLK day is a National Holiday. Isn’t it free by fiat? Mammoth Cave National Park is free. The hiking trails are free. If one wants to visit a cave or tour, it requires an admission fee. That’s fair.

The first step is to go to the DMV and then the local Sheriff or State Police with “hat in hand” and ask politely ask for help. Then each County has a court database that’s publicly available online. A few hours of simple digging should reveal an answer.

He’s actually correct about CNN. I no longer view their APP version. Cable is 300 a month for the premium version. The App is paywalls to the hilt and it’s cumbersome to navigate. It was once easy and organized. Go watch Lemon and Acosta on Substack for free. They are the new CNN.

The article is missing facts here. Something is drawing attention or suspicion to her and her vehicle. There are thousands of vehicles passing through there. Why her and on multiple occasions? Law Enforcement does not have the time nor resources to go after knowing “innocent” people.

There is something that pops up on a computer or plate reader. An attorney needs to examine her State driver’s abstract, make a FOIA request of what LEADS, PDPS, and NCIC shows for her name, SS number and plate. I can’t imagine law enforcement having the time to target her without any suspicion.
