Each chapter reviews prior work on a category of personal recurrent victimization, including (1) recurrent victimization more broadly, (2) repeat victimization, (3) multiple victimization, (4) poly-victimization, and (5) revictimization.

We find that high-rate visits in the year before release is associated with lower odds of major/minor parole violations in the year after release, but has a lukewarm relationship with misconduct preceding release. We argue that a possible threshold effect is present that requires further attention.
