hello hello I wrote about Eden Royce's novella about death, grieving, and what we owe each other. it's a fantastic read and felt particularly relevant (grief stories always do!) as we're all trying to process our pandemic emotions.
"Royce ably navigates the contradictions of caring deeply about family while recognizing people’s flaws and pursuing a life that aligns first and foremost with your own core values."

@readingtheend.bsky.social reviews Eden Royce's novella Psychopomp and Circumstance!

The thing about the generational discourse is that if you do the research you can prove that the best generation lived from 399-429 CE.

Just a bunch of winners all around. Didn't judge each other, made great hummus, built a generation starship and left Earth. Great folks.

"All is lost" narratives are popular because people generally do not want to take action. Taking action is tiring so if all is lost, you are off the hook. Nothing is more seductive than not having to do anything.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
