This week's 9-1-1 opened with multiple people losing fingers in a game of tug-of-war. It is the greatest thing that I have seen on TV all year.

Just finished 'And Then There Were none,' which was great until all that exposition at the end. It was kind of the book version of the doctor explaining Norman Bates at the end of 'Psycho.' #BookSky

I'm finally reading Night Bitch, and I'm sorry but does any else sing the title in their heads to the tune of Bob Seger's Night Moves? ("Working on some Night Bitch..") #booksky

So last week I read Tart by Slutty Cheff and this week I'm listening to the audiobook Self Sabotage by Jeffrey Self so I guess my thing right now is funny, well-written books that I will never tell my mom I've read. #booksky

I'm watching #SomebodySomewhere on HBO Max and gee, you think someone would gave told me how good this is. Like, give a gal a heads up.

Hear me out -- Mark Ruffalo as Columbo. Have we even discussed this?

I don't know that I would have read "Harriet Tubman: Live on Concert" had I not hear author Bob The Drag Queen interviewed by @samsanders.bsky.social but man that is beautiful book. #booksky

I'm really enjoying HBO's #Task, or as I like to call it "Mark of Eastown"

I've been rewatching Daria with my daughter, and, God, I forgot how good that show was. The first season finale, Misery Chick, and second season premiere, Arts and Crass are as good a one-two punch as TV has ever seen.

There's a Conan Gray concert tonight and the fan uniform is sailor PJs and hats. I was at dinner near the venue and saw a bunch of girls in the required outfits. At the table behind sat three girls in The Uniform and an older man, I assume a dad, wearing a Conan the Barbarian T-shirt. A king!

I finished Murder Takes a Vacation by @lauralippman.bsky.social today and immediately want a film adaptation with Margo Martindale as Mrs. Blossom.

Other people cried at the end of Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid, right? Not just me? #BookSky

Just read 'Run for the Hills' and Kevin Wilson has jumped to the top of my authors who can't miss list. Moving and hilarious. Can't recommend enough. #booksky

In these trying times, it is my duty to tell there exists a cozy mystery novel starring the Golden Girls, and it is a freaking DELIGHT. #BookSky

Edi Patterson probably won't even get nominated for an Emmy for her monologue to that monkey on tonight's #RighteousGemstones finale, and that just seems wrong

The most relatable thing about this week's #TheLastOfUs is that, at meeting to talk about a potential vigilante mission, there's one guy who only wants to talk about agriculture and gets scolded for not staying on topic.

I have too much faith in Danny McBride as a TV creator to believe that his casting of Michael Rooker as a seemingly malevolent ex is not a blatant Sea Of Love homage. And I love it. #RighteousGemstones

From now on, I shall only call it "Gossip Women." #RighteousGemstones

Thank you to the person who left this helpful note in my library copy of Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad. Also - spoiler alert!

Also, "She's not here to do fashion shows, she's here to nan" is an all-time line of dialogue

I know I have said this before buy whoever designs or curates the costumes on Righteous Gemstones is a mad genius.

Yes, Reachet's Alan Ritchson is truly gobsmacking boulder made flesh, but why aren't we talking more about this cereal-chomping goddess?
March 28, 2025 at 2:32 AM
Dear creators of Reacher, when driving from Maine to New London, CT, one does not pass through New Haven. I mean, otherwise, the show is perfect. That was the only flaw.
