Okay so you’re right about the generation, it was silent generation who were 44-59 in 1980. But they voted 55-45 for Reagan. Which is similar numbers to 44-59 who voted for Trump.

Totally get your thought process. From what I notice it’s less that it’s Gen X and more that we’re of a certain age. When boomers were our age they voted in Reagan who started the slide of economic inequality to where we are today.
The concept of generation is flawed. It’s more age brackets.
