Ten years ago today, I posted on FB this meme someone had made from a scene in "Ask Me Anything" (my movie based on my novel Undiscovered Gyrl). Not much has changed in the past decade, except that the problem has gotten worse.

If you get high—or if anyone you know does—please read these two testimonials. There’s a dangerous drug circulating right now, sold cheaply in smoke shops and even gas stations. It’s legal everywhere except Florida, which banned it early. It’s called 7-OH.

Yes! Any smart, sane president would have said. "The directive is, of course, correct. Ignore any unlawful order. As your commander-in-chief, I pledge to you that I will never give you an illegal order."
'An ordinary president, Kelly told us on Tuesday afternoon, would have responded to the video by affirming that troops should of course follow lawful orders. “But not this guy,” he added. “We basically said, ‘Follow the law.’ And he said, ‘Kill them.’”'

Can confirm.
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Remember when Obama was president?

"Half the nominees filibustered in the history of the United States were blocked by Republicans during the Obama administration. Of 23 district court nominees filibustered in U.S. history, 20 were Obama's nominees."

Trump defended Carlson, saying the former Fox News host has “said good things about me over the years.”

Except on Jan. 4, 2021, Carlson texted, "We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump. I truly can't wait. I hate him passionately. I can't handle much more of this."

Mango Beast is so dumb that he’s threatening us (like a mobster) with investigating Democrats’ involvement with Epstein. He doesn’t get that if Clinton did something illegal, they can send him to Devil’s Island for all we care. We’re not a damned cult!

No, it wouldn't be, and he doesn't think so. But the fact that it's happening at this time, highlights the shamelessness of it.

If a person who ate meat righteously proclaimed his vegetarianism, we’d cry foul, and yet when a self-defined Christian abuses the least among us, his faith goes unchallenged.

Months ago I posted about a rotten trip on Norse Airlines. Yesterday Norse opened an account on BlueSky. They called me today. I was 90% down the rabbithole toward getting a full refund, when I realized I was on the phone with a criminal scammer. A completely phony account. Scary. BEWARE!

For many, the take-away from the fact that many thousands of Kentucky voters demanded to know why polls were closed, on a day when there was no election in KY, is that KY voters are morons and rubes. My takeaway is that even in the reddest of states people are desperate for change.

You do not equate fascism with sanity; I have learned that. You do not equate it with reason, with intelligence, with civilization or decency or morality. The impossible becomes possible, the incredible credible; what is evil becomes matter of fact, and part and parcel of the whole.

CBS is a date-rape victim proposing a second date. Its self-esteem and integrity have been crushed. The Tiffany network is now the Tiffani network. The hostile takeover is complete:
