My ageing grey cells had forgotten that this play featured the great Richard Vernon whose double whammy of spending 1964 on screen with James Bond and The Beatles wins him immortality.

Saw The Beatles Anthology with a glimpse of Derek Royle as Jolly Jimmy in Magical Mystery Tour. I saw him in this 1988 West End production and I vividly recall that after I then rushed off to Waterloo to catch a train to see Royle already ahead of me on the escalator! He died just over a year later.

I saw him locally in 1996. Although the two headline stars are great I had seen them before so Norm was my primary reason to attend despite his woefully small credit (should have been ‘and’ in a box).

Anyone know what was being filmed in Pall Mall today? Lots of barriers and a few crowd staff and these military vehicles in evidence.

I recently rewatched Nothing But The Best which features an uncredited (pre-George Harrison) Pattie Boyd prominently placed in one scene.
