I even have in my TOS that the images or ref sheets I'm given have to be up to date. I won't do changes on the design that aren't there, apart from very simple things like color swaps

Yea Same Here. Plus, I SUCK at designing characters. My sona was designed by someone else too and it's the first sona that I still like having. All the other ones I designed didn't stick around for long

I agree, but it highly depends on one's situation. Better meals and supplements are only accessible with money and poorer people live in food deserts where only junk food is easily accessible

And poor mental health, often caused by being poor, can be a hurdle for exercising

Do not be shy to advertise yourself. Be loud. If major corporations can get away with spamming you about their products at every waking moment, a singular person creating art can be able to get away with it too

Weekends are a hit or miss. Most people will be at conventions or spending time with family or friends

Find out your audience, where do they come from? For me, it's mostly the US and Europe. This matters because if you post during a time where they're awake and not busy, they're more likely to see your posts (early morning, lunchtime, late evening)

Add alt text to images. A lot of people here will not share posts that do not have alt text in solidarity of those who have impaired vision. It also boosts your ability to be found, since alt text appears in searches

Also you don't need to make new things all the time, it's completely okay to repost older works. Newer followers have never seen these works before

Being active, not just posting, but also networking. Support other artists, comment, share. The more people see you around, the more known you get, the more eyes your works will get. But please, don't do it selfishly, do it because you also want other artists to thrive as well
