What a fantastic 2 days at Frontiers in Neurophotonics. Huge thanks to the organizers for putting it together and for inviting me. It was great catching up with our friend Markus Sauer and Le epic @christlet.bsky.social, & shared a taxi ride with THE @jungmannlab.bsky.social 🧡
In the #GEF25 Presidential Lecture, chaired by @eboyden3.bsky.social, Stefan Hell presented a conceptual breakthrough, a dramatic shift from the 2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry on super-resolution: fluorophores no longer need on–off states, effectively nullifying the diffraction barrier.
