My husband and I are fancy. At least on occasion.

This is the first photo of myself in Houston in my Google Photos. I arrived there 10 years ago today not knowing a soul.

It ended up being some of the best and also most trying five years of my life. Thank you to all my dear friends who have made Houston a key part of me. I miss y’all every day.

My mom isn’t on Bluesky, but I still need to share that, nearly 60 years after this photo was taken, she’s still gorgeous, but even wiser.

What comes home with me when I go to the grocery store alone.

Everyone needs to see what my husband made himself for lunch today.

Our fifth consecutive year marking Thanksgiving at Gogiville in Virginia.

My husband loves fake, green pandan extract and sesame seeds almost as much as he loves me. We’re a power couple like that.

I don’t know why, but when the temperature drops, I start craving Korean noodles with ice in them. I also love hot pot in the summertime.

Few things make me happier than a freshly baked, beef-filled salteña. Unless you add a cuñape or two. Grateful for the profusion of Bolivian restaurants in Northern Virginia.

I just returned home from a week in Baltimore. Best bite? This pistachio rigatoni at Benny’s, which was startlingly similar to a dish I ate in Sicily.
