This is a fucking travesty by my alma mater. Sadie T.M. Alexander was not just the first black woman graduate at Penn Law, she was the first black woman to receive a PhD in economics ANYWHERE, and was the first black woman to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania. She's a true pioneer.

She was on the AME's National Affairs Post War Cmtte making demands of Roosevelt-1944;appointed to Truman's Cmtte on Civil Rights-1946 & Carter as chair of WH Conf on Aging-1979 had the appointment withdrawn by Reagan's HHS

Mostly small stations in rural areas that are news deserts; residents rely on them for local news, emergency warnings (radio works even when cell service doesn't). Mostly in Alaska or serving tribal communities. There are stations in CO, WV, NM, and AZ. One station lost 97% of its budget.
