Mainstream media has been useless propaganda channels for decades. Hearst figured out, he can control the masses thru the media, which became the downfall of corporate sponsored journalism.
Independent journalists are the only one's left that still put out real reports vs convenient narratives.

Redeeming American power would probably start with not allowing incompetent idiots to represent the country. That's been a problem for quite some time.
And not starting, or allowing wars to happen.
If other countries were treated fairly, there wouldn't be weird tensions, or threats.
