ah yes, I suspected this type of comment would come out to play once the McGill sports cancellation came out in mainstream media

Misleading advertising of natural health products like this needs to keep in mind the lowest common denominator consumer. If I didn't have the education I do to be able to sniff the 🐂💩 I might believe this would help me/my kid:

👀 Moh Ahmed racing Canadian XC championships!
[context: I don't think he has raced nats XC since his last year as a junior (2009), he recently changed coaches where his previous one was racing athletes sparsely]

my hobbies include: casually finding trademark violations for free when I go grocery shopping
(what have your paid celiac influencers done for you lately🙃)

Ears of disappointment punctuated by occasional rotation for state of disappointment and chirp of disappointment

however, I already have one shirt with Science World on it (East Van 10k cotton shirts undefeated!) and False Creek gives me The Existential Dread

This is all I wore to stand still outside for about 45’ (I had rifle gloves on as well). Once the workout heat wore off times got tough but the crowd heat/windblock helped some (yes I did 😷 - a rare outdoor scenario where I would)

So, I think the clapback this article is getting is good. The hill I will die on is that it is not responsible journalism to heap accolades on "youth prodigies," whether that's due to academic accomplishments (going to university as a child), or sports (winning lots/impressive performances).

holy buzzkill on r/poutinecrimes man
I am pretty sure everyone who did school in Canada knows (most of?) this lol

Been digging my lazy no layer deconstructed lasagna of late

chat, do we still think celiac isn't a "real disability?"
fwiw this person's experience isn't atypical, you just won't see much of it because toxic positivity + limitations don't sell product placements

I walked into a local pub thinking there was a generalized Halloween event (I want a prize 😤), but as it turns out I’ve crashed someone’s birthday party dressed as the Masque the Red Death (irony lost on many)

Will updat
(I like that this mask has an articulable jaw, which means I could drink if I wear a sip mask underneath!)

I loved living in South Bend, Indiana, it was like double DST since it was just to the east of the central time border. The sunrise in January was after 8 AM, but the sunset was after 5 PM.

there was an apartment in Fergus near my elementary school that has a confederate flag until at least 2018 (image from 2015 but I confirm personally that it was there until 2018 at min)

this is not the first time either, this is a pic of some Mineral Fusion mascara from last year (didn't have time to deal due to wild personal/family situation at this time)

Spot the potential problem 🙃
October 21, 2025 at 12:02 AM
this isn't a hypothetical either, I've found oat chunks in things that weren't supposed to have them before. I also was actually getting sick.
And yet, advocacy group discourse ignores this as being a problem...

How voicemail transcription dealt with a message in French 😂
October 14, 2025 at 6:54 PM
trust me this is a common experience that almost everyone with celiac has had at some point (though many eventually give up like me and just bring own food everywhere for self-preservation and mental health)
October 14, 2025 at 2:03 PM
love this for Khannouchi 😅

the real gem that I can only reveal now that I do not live in the area is the Petits Frères church thrift store, which is all of my most unusual home items come from. It has become gentrified since I left but you cannot beat the items.
