I thought it was very cool that the barista at Diesel recognized my scarf as a film strip design! My coworker got me this exceedingly on-brand scarf last year and I’m always psyched to wear it 😍

idk i am thinking about all the classic gems I've been introduced to through indie theatrical screenings, especially on film since DCP's aren't always available, and I feel like that might become more important than ever but also worry about decline in studio support for rep screenings...

The season is upon us! 35mm screenings of It’s a Wonderful Life at @brattletheatre.bsky.social run 12/12-15

I love projecting this for a crowd, everyone’s laughing and crying and just feeling the communal good will, it’s nice!

I saw an ad for some phone where a couple is at an art museum and instead of reading wall labels, using museum-provided tours/audio guides, or just taking in the art independently for themselves, they used a fucking AI "companion" to "guide" them, very likely incorrectly, and I took that PERSONALLY

JUPITER ASCENDING (35MM) - I love this now? The Wachowski Sisters take such a sincere approach to their big pulpy space opera that evokes everything from Frank Herbert to FLASH GORDON. It’s silly and endearingly so. There’s also a literal elephant man. @alexxkittle.bsky.social ftw!

My relationship with the 2015 paranormal holiday romance “The Spirit of Christmas” has somehow gradually developed into one of the longest and most important relationships of my life. (Indicative of my maturation into someone less irony-pilled, embracing my true cheesy self)

Wednesday at @brattletheatre.bsky.social I am very psyched to close out our Chicago series by running a beautiful 35mm print of Jupiter Ascending 🙌🙌

ok the original run had a printing error but I'm getting a replacement order sent hopefully by the end of the week, and will be mailing out all pre-orders asap so if you still want to order now it'll go out next week for sure (barring another catastrophe)
I’ll take real photos tomorrow but you after midnight bskyers get a sneak peek at the printed Lynch calendar!

We are down to our last 5 copies of Worlds Beyond Time, a gorgeous coffee table book that collects paintings commissioned for the covers of 1970s sci-fi paperbacks. Categories include spaceships, alien landscapes, fantasy realms, cryptozoology, and heavy machinery.

KPop Demon Hunters is fun! I dug the animation and musical action scenes, though the style of music isn't really for me! I am once again imploring anyone with even a cursory interest in women-centric pop music to watch Girls5Eva!!!!!!!

These thoughts ARE connected!

I just found out I might not be able to vend at the holiday markets I was planning on because there was a glitch with my application and I've been too overwhelmed with other stuff to realize I hadn't heard back from them. I feel very stupid about this but anyway my online store is more crucial now
look I'm extremely not feeling promote-y or salesman-y this season but i just made the grave mistake of looking at my bank account so i should probably lyk there's a sale on in my etsy store this week: www.etsy.com/shop/panands...
