New-Scottish Tasmanian. Professional actor and proof-reader. Loves nature, words, mountains, whippets, and paleontology. Currently in the process of writing the 'Dinosaur Dell' stories.
It's probably my last #FungiFriday of the year, given the weather! These finds were after several frosts, in Surrey and Perthshire, so I was delighted to see them, even though numbers and diversity overall seems down on previous years. #fungi #mushroom #nature #FungiFriends

Wow. BBC journalists are now not even allowed to report the censored line from my Reith Lecture, that Trump is “the most openly corrupt president in American history.”

You can hear how carefully they’re forced to tiptoe around it. So chilling...

Rachel Reeves says this Labour Governments decisions are "necessary."

Why is it always necessary to hit the living standards of the 99%?

When are we going to make the necessary decisions about extreme wealth?

Thank you to Ruth for a lovely day at one of my old haunts, the Hermitage, in Dunkeld. Spellbinding even in the mist! And wonderful to see so much hair-ice around; one of my favorite #fungi phenomena. #FungiFriends #woodland #forest #waterfall #Scotland @n-t-s.bsky.social @florainoxford.bsky.social

These two “geniuses” have infected the world with their pettiness, wrecking and spreading toxicity just because they can. Imaging that they’re somehow creative because they can push a button that says “more”. This video needs to be taught in schools so that kids understand what we’re up against.
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

I find this utterly bizarre and kind of insulting, actually. We’re dealing with a major crisis here - like a real actual thing that’s happening and will probably bankrupt the state - and it’s just a bit of fun for everyone else. Screen Tas funding is the cherry on a shitty cake. #politas #auspol
