This yak X lineage seemingly persisted for at least around 200,000 years, across climatic transitions, in the region.

Briefly, we identified three extinct mitochondrial bovine lineages in mid-latitude Asia: aurochs basal to haplogroup C, bison clade X, and a previously unknown yak-like clade X sister to all known yak diversity.

This yak X mitochondrial lineage diverged around 675,000 years ago from modern yak!

We also formally demonstrated that the addition of Tween in the elution buffer resulted in more complex libraries.

It represents an alternative to costly robotisation and can generate 96 extracts within a few hours of lab work!

We used a 96-column plate for downscaled aDNA extractions, compared it to routine single columns and retrieved similar screening metrics.
