Jesus Christ. JESUS Christ. Jesus CHRIST. Yes, this person is correct, remigration is a white supremacy term for ethnic cleansing, basically. And the Department of Homeland Security, WHICH SHOULDN'T EVEN EXIST, just used the term. An official government account. That is...that is beyond fucked.
A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

One more for the back row....
At the risk of violating Godwin's Law, he really does sound like Hitler here talking about Jews not being compatible with German society.
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

This post is a nice try but it just doesn’t have the same oomph as when it was shouted from a podium in the original German.

Stephen Miller’s ancestors were Jewish refugees from the pogroms in czarist Russia. They came to the U.S. in the early twentieth century, even as racists said this same stuff about them.

Making it impossible for an author to sell their next book doesn’t just kill that book. It makes it far less likely the author will continue writing at all. They have to make a living somehow and they were already earning pennies an hour for their bonkers fragile and emotionally demanding work.

Most publishers (there are always exceptions) decide whether or not to buy a second book (or a third etc) based on how the previous book did. So when you pirate a book in most cases it’s less about the money you just stole from both author and publisher it’s about the future book you just killed.

helpful info for those who needs to know for professional reasons, but the fact that almost three dozen movies are fake opening to qualify for awards most won't get is proof of a deeply broken system

As we get closer to the end of 2025 and various critics and voting bodies collate their year-end lists and ballots, the question of what is eligible for such selection often crops up. It's become comm...

Not karma as I posted earlier. Just another example of this administration's cruelty (and I am not being facetious).

Hear hear!
Given the BlueSky habit of raging at news media for not framing a story exactly right (I am not innocent), I want to stop and thank every journalist who’s digging up facts about this unprecedented moment of profound evil in our government. Owners may suck, editors err, but you are golden. Thank you.

Some $ context, since people still think of Paramount as a huge studio: It's barely had a pulse for a while. The now-deadish Mission: Impossible series was its only movie in the US top 25 this year. So it's naturally frantic to build a 2026-28 lineup. And mining IP is easier than reading scripts. >

This is disgraceful toadying to someone who could well be dead, out of office, or both by the time this reanimated corpse knuckle-drags itself to the screen. Some context: Ratner directed the state-approved Melania doc that is coming to Prime, so he's now a friend of The Family. >
I teased this last night in What I’m Hearing but now confirmed: Paramount WILL release Rush Hour 4 after prodding from Trump on behalf of Brett Ratner. Distribution deal. Producer Tarak Ben Ammar is lining up financing. Get ready for the dumbest possible state-controlled media.

you can argue about whether or not Trump’s administration is fascist; the elite insistence that, even if true, no one should call him that because it sounds rude is a substantial part of how we got here

Me? The Spanish-American War with a cast of Spanish, Cuban, Filipino and Puerto Rican actors doing the voices of their respective kin.
I figure Ken Burns has one, maybe two big documentary series in him before he fully retires. What do you think they should be? My votes include Football, Hip-Hop, World War 1, Reconstruction (though Skip Gates did this one well), Iraq/Afghanistan, 19th Century Expansionism.

Some excellent and unconventional choices (when compared to other visits to the Closet). Love how, even when talking about the Dardennes Brothers, Wagner finds a connection to Brazilian cinema.
