Sunshine Cat is trying really hard to be okay. We've been doing daytime hospitalization at the vet the last two days to give her a chance to recover, but it's rough. We could use love the most, but also a little help. 💔

My boomer mother gave me another "bag of treasure papers" (her exact words) I get home & sort them tonight....friends these include a notebook of Algebra 2 work & Geometry quizzes from high school, which was more than a couple years ago. Why??

Felt very meh today, but had promised my kids skiing on spring break. They are the motivation I need some days. It was good to get out. The view was fantastic. We did a 4.5 mi trip, the longest the 6 yr old has done, so there was a bit of whining involved, but overall successful. #Alaska #AlaskaSky

My 14 yr old just thanked me for not dressing "cringe" like some moms that come to pick their kids up from middle school. I am wearing plaid pants that I definitely thought twice about buying.
One can never guess what is cringe or not. It's a minefield out there in middle school land.

Apparently you have to clean this stuff off with water. Somewhat more problematic with the tps outside & short daylight hours.

I've gone back & forth about posting the cause, but in case that saves someone else, my spouse used a heat gun a few days ago to use shrink connectors on something he was fixing & left it plugged in at his work area. It got bumped on at some point today & ignited a cardboard box.....

Folks have an unexpired fire extinguisher handy, have a plan, and know how to use it.
My 13 yr started yelling the garage is on fire, I ran from my room into the garage grabbing the fire extinguisher we keep right at the door between the two, saw that a smallish fire and could get to it.....

I'm really proud of myself for checking the weather and quickly moving my houseplants over to the new place yesterday before the cold snap. Maybe they won't hate me like they did when I moved them 3 years ago November and it -10°F. That palm in the back just forgave me this year.

Why are 4 test per household ridiculously inadequate?
Because 6 people live here & 2 of my kids had a close exposure at speech therapy mid-week. With 4 tests total, they each get to test twice. I got two additional tests from a different program, but that's still not enough.

Someone posted these were amazing, so I finally picked some up. Also picked up my car from the detailer (Xpress Auto Detail Wasilla is fabulous). My car is lemony fresh. Open twizzlers at home & yellow tastes like my car smells. So maybe not the right day to try them 🤣
